With a diverse career spanning industries across India and GCC markets, the self-professed dreamer has now turned into a successful entrepreneur in the field of media and advertising.
Angira and her better half Mr. Sudip Dey founded People Perfect Media, an advertising & Media firm to bridge the gap between what clients pay and the value they receive. Designed as a one-stop solution for branded marketing content and other branding solutions People Perfect Media provides cost effective 360-degree advertising and media-related solutions. Angira leverages her in-depth understanding of varying client requirements based on their culture, interests, and preferences to deliver exceptional content.
The Women Entrepreneur team got the opportunity to learn about Angira ‘s professional journey that began in a small town in West Bengal and has reached Dubai now. Through the conversation we are taken through her various creative pursuits that are driven by passion and enthusiasm.
Take Us Through Your Educational Journey And Prior Industry Experience. What Led You Towards The Field Of Media Production?
My journey started in a little town, Rampurhat in West Bengal, moved through Kolkata, with stops in New Delhi, Doha, and finally brought me to Dubai. From being a prominent television journalist I have transitioned into a successful entrepreneur in the world of advertising, video content creation, marketing, and branding.
Soon after graduation, I went to the University of Calcutta to study Mass Communication and Film Studies. I began writing for English and Bengali newspapers, tabloids, weekly magazines, and publications at the age of 18. I gained firsthand experience and exposure to the grind of a professional and competitive environment as I moved from anchoring shows to working as an assistant director across regional TV channels. I then pursued my Post Graduation degree while simultaneously growing from junior reporter to senior crime reporter. Later I shifted to Delhi as an International Affairs correspondent.
Everything was fine until my father was diagnosed with Stage 5 cancer in 2012. My regular income couldn’t cover his medical expenses, so I decided to move out of the country for an opportunity that could serve me better financially. Boom Art Studio in Doha presented the right opportunity. My documentary “The Life” was shortlisted as part of the selection process and I moved to Doha, Qatar, the very next year. I remember writing the script in the waiting area of the hospital’s operation theatre while my father was being operated in.
My life philosophy is simple: dare to dream, don’t look back, never stop learning, and be ready to face any challenges. My search for a better opportunity led me to Dubai after Doha. Here, I started as a creative producer in an advertising agency and worked my way up the corporate ladder to become the organization’s creative head and operational manager of Start Action Media Store, and heading a separate arm known as creative “Eagles”.
Later, with the help and guidance of my clients, I decided to create a 360-degree advertising, marketing, and creative video content production company of my own. In the year 2018, with my husband Sudip, I founded People Perfect Media in 2021, January I started Wedding Vid, all under the umbrella of our parent company, People Perfect Media Group.

People Perfect Media LLC is a video production firm with a presence in the UAE, other GCC nations, and we also have presence in India, Malaysia, and Spain. What Was The Basic Idea Upon Which People Perfect Media Was Founded? Tel Us About The Approach You Take While Working On A New Project.
While working in Dubai, I realized that the price clients paid was significantly greater than the value they received. Clients also had to interact with several agencies for advertising and media-related solutions, and a majority of the agencies were more interested in servicing big-ticket clients than small and medium businesses. This prompted me and my partner to consider starting a company that can provide 360-degree advertising and media-related solutions at an affordable price to all.
When a client contacts us, we take down their requirements and carry out research about the client, their product, competition, etc. Then we create a com-prehensive marketing presentation that covers details of the advertisement. Then we work on comprehensive pre-production planning, and send the draft to our customer for the feedback and final approval. We follow the same when it comes to visual content production. In the post-production process, during which we always solicit feedback from our clients and, once final approval is received on the draft, we do the final submission of the project. We are always open for suggestion and team People Perfect is the most flexible team in the field of Media and advertising I must add.
What Are Some Of The Most Significant Achievements That You Have Earned Throughout The Years?
I believe in serving clients for their utmost satisfaction with honesty and sincerity. My hunger is not for wealth, but for excellence and working every day for something new. I believe excellence brings fame and wealth will just follow, thus “Look for excellence”.
When a client sends me a thank you note or a word of appreciation for my work, I consider it my greatest achievement.
Aside from working with prominent advertisers, I’ve also created documentaries on a renowned UAE footballer of UAE, Qatar Interior Ministry, Qatar Health Minis-try, Dubai Municipality, International sickle cell forum, Abu Dhabi Airport Authority, and Sharjah television.
Soon, I hope to bring my dream project “Aloke Foundation” (named after my father) to reality. It will serve as a Cancer awareness and fundraising to add platform for cancer patients and their families across the globe.
